My mom keeps turning the heat down
I live about six miles miles from my mom. She has not wandered and seems to continue to be able to live on her own since my father died about a year ago. There is a new concern that I am having that I hope someone can help with. She keeps turing her thermostat down at night and when I arrive in the morning the house is so cold. My mom says that house is so cold and to heat it up she is heating up pots of water on the stove and hanging out in the kitchen. She is so independent but this seems like a safety issue. How long will it be until she forgets to turn the stove off? If I do not go to check on her in the morning I am not sure she would ever figure out that she could just turn the thermostat back on. Any suggestions?
